IMG_0193.jpgOn Tuesday night,at a meeting of Richmond Council, Philip Moshi, Vice Chair of Twickenham Labour Party, trustee of Mencap and long standing disability campaigner, asked a question of the cabinet minister for Children's Services and Schools about the transfer of children with Special Educational Needs to Education Health and Care Plans. this followed a report which showed that Richmond Council were the worst authority in the UK for managing the transfer to the plans.

Mr Moshi said: 'At Tuesdays Council meeting, I secured a commitment from the Cabinet Member for Children's Services and Schools that all Educational Health and Care Plans will, from start to finish, be formulated and the services in them delivered in accordance with the law. We in the [Twickenham] Labour Party will ensure that the Council lives up to this commitment for the benefit of the children, their parents and the carers of this Borough.'
