Campaigning for better local transport in Heathfield

We have been campaigning hard to try and improve local transport links for you in Heathfield.

Many of us rely on public transport to get to work or to see family and friends, so it may surprise some to learn that a recent Council report concluded that parts of Heathfield have the worst possible level of access to public transport.

We wrote to Transport for London recently outlining our case for a direct bus route to Whitton town centre and for general improvements to the frequency and punctuality of bus services in the area. You can read a copy of our letter here.

If you haven't already, you can express your support for our campaign here.

We have also written to South West Trains regarding capacity and congestion on services into central London and the general state of Whitton station. We are also very concerned about staffing levels and the lack of disabled access to the platforms. You can read a copy of our letter here.

This is an issue which impacts many residents and we'd value your opinion on our priorities for local transport. Please don't hesitate to get in touch with us.
