Job Opportunity – Organiser for Richmond Borough Labour Party

Richmond and Twickenham Labour Parties are looking to recruit a Borough Organiser to help us with our ongoing campaign towards the Local Elections 2022.

The post holder will be responsible for building and maintaining party organisation and campaign activity; delivering community-led campaigns; working with stakeholders to establish and implement an effective election campaign strategy for the 2022 Local Elections particularly in our target wards.

The post holder will work with Richmond Campaign Forum and Twickenham and Richmond Park CLPs and liaise with CLP and Branch officers and candidates.

The successful candidate will have:

• Significant experience of being involved in election campaigns
• Experience of developing successful local campaigns
• Experience of organising events and motivating large groups of volunteers
• Experience of using labour party technology
• Experience of managing and developing volunteers
• Experience of working on own initiative
• Experience of fundraising

This position is for two and a half days per week at a pro rata salary of £31,231 full time and will be inclusive of London weighting, and subject to annual increments in line with Labour Party pay scales. There will be a holiday allowance. The position involves evening and weekend attendance.

This is a fixed term contract from December 6th, 2021 – May 13th, 2022.
