Labour research reveals underinvestment in Heathfield

Tories fail to build any affordable housing

According to a Freedom of Information request submitted by Labour, there were 3 residential homes proposed for Heathfield in 2010/11 - the lowest in the borough - and 6 new homes in 2011/12.

In contrast, 189 new homes were proposed for North Twickenham in 2010/11 and 205 new homes for Hampton Wick in 2012/13.

Craig Owen said: "This information reveals the extent of underinvestment in Heathfield. We need more affordable homes as house prices and rents rocket out of control."

"We are calling on the Council to do more to identify opportunities for affordable housing in the area, before future generations are priced out of London completely."
