St Margarets resident Nick Grant has been selected as Twickenham Labour Party’s candidate to stand in the 2015 General Election.

Party members selected Nick as the candidate they wish to take on Vince Cable in 2015 at a special selection meeting held on Saturday 30 November at the Greenwood Centre in Hampton Hill.

Nick, a commercial lawyer, has made Twickenham his family home for the last 14 years.

As chair of the governing body of nearby Feltham Community College, a large comprehensive school, Nick has worked hard to create the best possible education for local children.

He is also vice-chair of the influential Labour Finance and Industry Group.

Nick’s campaign to be selected as Twickenham Labour Party’s candidate for the General Election was endorsed by the shadow business secretary Chuka Umunna and Seema Malhotra, Labour MP of next door constituency Feltham & Heston.”

Nick said: "I am proud to be leading the Labour campaign in 2015. The 2015 election will be different from all that have gone before. This time Labour will be the sole, natural home for all those in Twickenham wishing to voice their opposition to the policies of the coalition government. I'm excited to be leading that opposition."
